sunshine, a hole, one skater and a jolly splendid day all told. We sessioned Truro College early Sunday morning whilst there was no one around. The design of the building has given itself two very large concrete holes just wide enough to skate. Its been sessioned before but never with a longboard. Always the first, always the Faltown crew. I cant believe how bad the swell has been of late. Nothing all summer, maybe a little light movement over the weekend and thats about it.Shocking really when you think about the reputation Cornwall has for surf and good weather. Thats not been the case this season. Two more weeks and all the tourists will be done and we can have our county back.

Im totally smitten when it comes to Mac’s and have always bought into the ethos of the brand and its durability. This was highlighted today when my wife washed my daughters ipod. After a full wash and spin it was removed from the washer, turned on and played just as it always has. On the down side, it didn’t remove the rubbish she listens to.

Plain Lazy has just taken a selection of the skate shots I took of Matt Perham a few weeks ago. Every little of exposure helps the cause. Matt’s been sponsored by Plain Lazy sometime now and remains one of Cornwall skate legends. I think you need to watch this space in the coming weeks as we have sometime quite special planned for Matt. A one off shot which you are never likely to see again.

I have a passion for Art Deco but its not often that your going to come across new Art Deco. This weekend, wifey and me got the chance to stay in what can only be described as the best example of  a new Art Deco hotel in Cornwall, the St Mortiz at Wadebridge.

The design was amazing. The balance of colours, the sleek deco lines and the attention to detail was first class. You have to visit the hotel to understand how well this was designed put together and conceived.

Simon & Liz are sorting out the details for the wedding this week over at River Cottage HQ. This isn’t going to be your average white wedding which makes it so much more interesting to shoot. They’ve opted for a casual approach which fits in really well with the whole aspect and ethos of River Cottage. We are all looking forward to their special day. Good luck guys!

What makes it easy for me is the models you work with. If you know them and they know you then shooting fashion becomes  easy. Kayleigh is a classic example of that. Its a real shame she’s not going to be about for a while as she’s going to work abroad for a while.  Good luck Kayleigh, hope it all goes well.

Saturday was a fantastic day! It was the start of the annual Golowan Mazey Day festival here in Penzance. Colour, music, arts, processions and much much more. An excellent event supported by our local schools, business’s and community. The sun shone and everyone enjoyed themselves.This guy didn’t pose for the shot he just completely looked through me.

Another successful shoot over in Falmouth this evening. Shot some stuff for a pending skate mag article. Went really well as usual. Featured skater in this shot is Cornwall’s finest Matt Perham. Thanks to Alex and all the crew at Faltown for their continuing support.
