35mmfilm

Never been a fan of Canon rigs, however.....

I’ll be honest with you if I may, Ive never been a fan of Canon rigs and Ive never shot with one. They just dont have the right feel for me so Ive never gone down that route of buying one. However, some years ago when wifey was traveling the world, she invested in one of theseCanon’s and she loved it. Now I remember commenting on her travel photos at the time saying they looked really good, and the underwater ones looked even better. Decades on from that, this year in fact, I started to look for a p&s film underwater camera and this one came to mind.

For me, that selection was easy as it was set on a price point. The market is flooded with underwater kit but not that many on the 35 mm front for the amount I was wishing to spend.. So, I got myself one. Dropped a test roll into it and here are a few of the shots I grabbed. Oh, stock choice for this first roll was easy, it had to be Ektar. My colour film stock of choice…

Just to further endorse my philosophy on photography. There’s no PS, no LR, filters or pre sets here, all my images come straight out of the box. Old school you might say and the way I always shoot film….
